ABC Yacht Charters is an ASA Certified Sailing School and has partnered with Vancouver Sailing Club to offer ASA Sailing Classes.
We offer an extensive program starting at the basic ASA 101 and going to the advanced ASA 106 Costal Cruising Course.
If you do not have sufficient boating background to meet our general bareboat qualifications, or if you simply wish to brush up on your boating skills, ABC Yacht Charters offers Skipper Instruction. This is a program that will be tailored to meet your specific needs. We can schedule your instruction time, at a minimum of two hours, once your reservation is confirmed. Topics covered can include navigation, anchoring, docking, manuvering, or whatever fits your needs.
Fee: $135 for up to two hours. $70 for each additional hour.
This option is designed for those wanting to charter a vessel significantly different from their current practical experience or to increase their level of boating competency on tidal waters. An experienced skipper will accompany a boater for a few days or for the duration of the trip, teaching, training and helping. Skills covered can include docking, anchoring, navigating, tides and currents, safety, weather and electronics.
Fee: $300 per day plus meals and skipper transportation.
Perhaps you would like the idea of having a professional skipper pilot your yacht while you sit back and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Our friendly skippers are very knowledgeable of our northwest cruising waters.
Fee: $275 per day plus meals and accommodations.
"We just went through the yacht instruction course this past weekend. The course was really a great experience for us and very well put together. The instructor Dave Sprinkle was really a good teacher and a pleasure to work with. He not only has a wealth of boating knowledge but a great sense of humor and is very good to the customers. I recommend you keep him!"
Thanks again.
Sincerely
Larry and Marcia Crass
